Educational requirements for physiotherapist requires 4 years of schooling and a master degree to get a license for practice that has to be periodically renewed, to keep them updated and continue their practice. Whereas, for a chiropractor it is 5-7 years of schooling and lot of field work to obtain their license, which must also be periodically renewed.

When you visit a physiotherapist, mostly your problem is diagnosed and your visit is for the therapy and assessment. On the other hand a chiropractor is visited for spine related problem and its diagnosis. Both the treatment has its benefits and strength. Depending on a patient’s need, the right type of health practitioner must be chosen. Both work with spine. But the cause of your pain decides the best practitioner. It is better to consult both and then decide who suits you the best.
